Car Suspension Tuning For Safe And Comfortable Rides

The suspension system of cars takes a special place in car tuning. It holds the safety and comfort in the car by transferring all the forces like torque and power towards the road to what is known as traction. The suspension system is situated at the car’s chassis and is the intermediary between the car itself and the road, and it includes the steering wheel, the wheels and tires, the control arms, the coil and leaf springs, and the shock absorbers or dampeners.

The modifications and car tuning of the suspension system has a very crucial effect on car maneuverability and safety as it transfers the torque and power of the car to the road. You can certainly improve and upgrade the acceleration and cornering performance of your car with the proper modifications you make on the engine as well. You have to observe comprehensive efforts in the upgrade and improvement of the complex suspension system.

Some people are of the belief that simply installing tougher springs and lowering the profile of the car would improve the handling of their cars. However, in proper car tuning, there are intricacies in the modification and upgrading of the entire car suspension system. It is much like the engine itself, having complex diversities of parts that are specifically designed to do individual tasks under different and varying circumstances, with the modifications done in each part resulting in various changes in performance of your car.

The car’s suspension system has everything to do with getting a perfect and efficient balance between drivability and performance. There are different ways to improving your car’s suspension. An example of this is the installation of low profile tires. This car tuning effectively upgrades the steering operation, lowering the incidence of stretching of the walls of the tires, and therefore makes for better hold and handling on the road.

While this improvement example gives better cornering and maneuvering, because the lower profile means there is less tire rubber that meets the surface of the road, more vibrations and road noise are felt as there is less tire rubber to absorb them during driving. Another important thing to consider is that when you modify to improve one area of car performance, you stand to sacrifice another car performance area in the process.

For instance, installing wider tires at the rear can improve the grip at the rear end but it can also result in over-steering problems as the car effectively gets lighter in the front. So the car tuning of the suspension system uses a lot of compromise in the process.

You have to go in great detail in the aspects of suspension modifications, suspension tuning, and full suspension upgrading in order to achieve your objectives in having a better performing car. Evaluating the different types of suspension springs and suspension components are also vital in this regard.

Poly Suspension Bushes: Because You Love Your Car

Optimum output of a car performance is required as far as comfort is concerned. Everyone wants their car to provide optimum speed and great comfort and the suspension system of a car plays a major role in it. Generally, when people think of automobile performance, they normally think of engine horsepower, torque and zero-to-60 acceleration. But all of the power generated by an engine is of no work if the driver can’t control the car and that’s why automobile engineers turned their attention to the suspension system.

Now, a car suspension system maximises the friction between the car tires and the road surface, to provide steering stability with good handling. It ensures the comfort of the passengers and in this whole process suspension bushes do a really hard work. So, it is necessary that these components are of good quality. Ordinary rubber made and nylon made bushes must be avoided. These days smart motorists are utilizing poly suspension bushes because there efficiency is much higher than ordinary ones.

One quality for which poly suspension bushes are preferred is its resilience. It comes to its original shape in less time after an arduous task and this is necessary because sometimes they need to work without sufficient lubrication. This situation can damage it which may affect the overall car performance. Its speed and smoothness can get hampered. This is a known fact that rubber bushes fail after 5,000 to 15,000 cycles but poly bushes may last 55,000 cycles.

So, car riders have enough reasons for choosing poly suspension bushes. They have a longer working life which is three to four times that of rubber. They are impervious to petrol and vehicle oil and yes they are highly resilient that is the ability and speed of returning back to original shape and they have an excellent resistance to permanent deformation. Therefore, choose them so that you keep loving your car.

Suspension Bushes: Speed Smoothening Component of Your Car

As far as speed of any car is concerned, it can be said that the suspension bushes are one of the vital components of your car. You can find them in your car at all points where the vehicle chassis is joined to a moving suspension component. They serve a very important function in the car. They are a noise and vibration absorbing barrier between the road and you.

Now, if I say that suspension bushes act like a noise and vibration absorbing barrier between the road and you, then what does it mean. It means that if you are moving in your car and you get a smooth riding feel then you may understand that these components are working properly. This is their function that you don’t feel exhausted while riding your car and your car stay healthy after a long drive.

It has been observed that suspension bushes are made up of rubber. It may be because rubber acts as sound barrier which damps out noise and vibration. Your car may feel much harsher and noisier these suspension bushes. They serve multi-purpose functions so that the speed and smoothness of your car may be sustained for a long time.

Your car needs to have a great control over the road and suspension bushes help in achieving it. It improves your car’s road grip, road holding and chassis performance by controlling the amount of unwanted bend in the suspension and it ensures that the tyres of your car have greater contact with the road at all times. This particular function helps in improving safety, speed, smoothness and overall performance of your car.

Because suspension bushes are the highly stressed components fitted to your car so they need proper maintenance. In the absence of such maintenance they may become weaker which may cause braking instability, accelerated tyre wear and poor handling. This is really bad for the overall health of your car which may lower its speed, mileage and car performance.

Car experts advise to use good quality suspension bushes and to replace them whenever needed.
